Acoustic Camera

Acoustic camera is an instrument that can visualize sound, like thermal imaging camera, rendering colors on pictures or videos to indicate sound levels. Acoustic camera is also known as microphone arrays, consisting of tens to hundreds of microphones arranged according to a certain pattern. The spatial distributions of sound pressure levels can be calculated through array signal processing algorithms (such as beamforming) and overlay the sound map with optical photographs in the form of pseudo-color maps or contour maps to achieve sound visualization.

The acoustic camera can be used for sound source location, abnormal sound detection and trajectory tracking. The "Multi-Ear God" series portable acoustic cameras are its high-tech self-developed sound visualization instruments designed to help engineers improve test efficiency and sound source location accuracy, including the DES-T144, DES-C136, DES-S162 series, and also provide customized acoustic cameras for steady state or high transient sound sources according to customer requirements. Stationary or moving objects can obtain good detection results.
