Acoustic cameras, also known as microphone arrays, are instruments that can visualize sound, similar to thermal imagers, by rendering colors on images or videos to represent the size of sound. Acoustic camera is an application of microphone array, which arranges dozens to thousands of microphones according to certain rules, generates spatial distribution of sound pressure level through array signal processing algorithms (such as beamforming), and overlays it with optical photos in the form of pseudo color or contour maps to achieve sound visualization.
